Network Cabling Technician Job Description

The network cabling technician performs various functions, including installing cables for commercial networks and low voltage infrastructures and testing and solving cabling problems.

• Maintains the cable system by installing, repairing, programming and updating the cable infrastructure
• Performs preventive maintenance and repair work by solving the cabling system problems
• Use established procedures to test newly installed or routed cables
• Keeps the cable tied and well grouped while maintaining safety standards
• Document time and material for the activity every day
• Complete the required documents such as: Installation checklist, timesheets, service orders, vehicle test report and various other protocols
