A technology coordinator performs a wide range of activities, but the job can be summed up as working with various aspects of a company's technology infrastructure. Provide support to users
Often times, a technology coordinator will be required to offer assistance to users of the information system. This may involve communicating in person with local and remote users, by phone, or by email. This feature requires troubleshooting and a solid understanding of computers.
Implement the technology
A technology coordinator is responsible for implementing new technologies and relaunching current systems. This can include planning the system, creating cost analyzes, ordering supplies, coordinating with suppliers, working on or supervising the installation of components, planning system tests, and creating training for new technology users.
Projects management
Technology coordinators will often be in charge of managing various technology projects. They will need to assemble an appropriate team, research technologies, schedule meetings, schedule project deadlines, and oversee project implementation. Some technology coordinators will have large teams to work with, while others will have to do many of the tasks on their own.
