Duties and responsibilities of the client coordinator

Client coordinators are involved at every stage of the client journey in client-based organizations. Collaboration is the name of the game for this role. Customer coordinators work with market analysts to collect and research data that will be used in creating specific customer acquisition strategies. They also collaborate with the marketing team by providing them with valuable customer feedback. Client coordinators are employed in service-based industries. Healthcare centers, accounting firms, law firms, and marketing agencies employ the majority of client coordinators.

Customer coordinators work under the VP of sales or marketing and delegate certain tasks to entry-level sales employees. According to the National Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand for customer service representatives, which includes customer coordinators, will increase by 5% through 2026.

Duties and responsibilities of the client coordinator

Serving customers to ensure they have a great shopping experience and are satisfied involves a long list of activities. From our analysis of open positions, these are some of the main responsibilities expected in this position:

Maintain a record of customer contacts

Customer coordinators detail every contact they have with a customer and share it with all members of the sales and marketing team. They update this information daily

Act as a link between the company and the customer

This is the most important task of the client coordinators. After the sales team has closed the deal, the customer coordinator is in charge of making sure the customer remains a satisfied customer. This task may involve a number of activities, such as placing new orders for the customer or resolving specific complaints.

Analyze market research and help with customer acquisition

Client coordinators work with market analysts to make sense of market research. They combine this information with the feedback they receive from customers to create buyer personas, which the marketing team can develop using CRM software.

Work with the sales team to provide a great customer experience

Acting as a contact point for clients allows client coordinators to get a lot of information about each client. Customer coordinators pass this information on to the sales team so they can find more leads that match their buying habits.

Attend meetings on sales and marketing strategies

Customer coordinators attend sales and marketing strategy meetings because they are recipients of direct customer feedback. Negative comments are used to ultimately improve the customer experience.
